NOVA6’s team worked in collaboration with Family Services to create a comprehensive experience for everyone who visits the site. Family Services expressed the following needs: effectively inform county residents of the non-profit available programs, recruit new employees, entice more volunteers and interns, increase fundraising and donations, promote events, and increase social media traffic.

There are many reasons for a user to visit the site, our goal was to create a seamless user experience and encourage site visitors to migrate towards the information they were looking for. We knew responsive design was a must, considering the variety of individuals that will be using the site and the amount of social information that the site would be back linked to.

To solve the need to recruit employees, volunteers, and interns a customized on- line application portal was created. The portal lists all open positions, the terms that must be met before job placement, and a downloadable application.

Additionally, NOVA6 designed a customized online application that archives each submission in a database, e-mails submitted applications to the appropriate division, and sends a confirmation email to the submitter. To facilitate social sharing, each job posting features easily accessible share buttons for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Tumblr, Pinterest, Reddit, email and vk.

NOVA6 created a call-to-action on the home page to encourage donations. The strategy behind the donation portal includes the indication of specific monetary values with the options to donate automatically every month.

The portal portrays a variety of services the organization provides and how much it cost to maintain each service per day, prompting the donor to connect emotionally and understand where their money is going. NOVA6 also created a tribute gift option, such that, the donor can give in memory of someone or something. All donations are accepted through paypal, which is the securest on-line payment mechanism.
